Summary

Discover HR Strategy for the Future Workforce

How do you design an organization for where it will be in 3-5 years, rather than around the people you have today? In this episode of The Hennessy Report, Brannigan Thompson, Chief Human Resources Officer at Voya Financial, shares how Voya is implementing organizational design strategy and talent management best practices during a major strategic shift.

Brannigan discusses how his experience living and working in the Netherlands early in his career shaped his leadership approach centered on active listening and vulnerability. He explains how Voya is creating success profiles based on future business needs, implementing AI in human resources including AI agents for interview scheduling and development planning, and building culture around four pillars: customer obsession, AI and automation, performance, and quality fundamentals.

Learn about Voya’s approach to employee performance management through continuous feedback and measurable KPIs, why they help employees discover their individual purpose even when it leads them to leave the company, and how HR leaders can think strategically about HR strategy for the future workforce.

Plus: Keystone’s Coach’s Corner featuring Shawna Simcik on the difference between kind leadership and nice leadership, including three practical frameworks: the Yes-No-Yes formula, the Care and Candor framework, and the short-term pain for long-term gain decision matrix.

Listen now to transform your approach to talent management and organizational design.
