About The Guest

Charu Manocha

In this era of generative AI, complex socio-economic challenges, a pandemic hangover, lack of trust in institutions, and an anxiety provoking national rhetoric; the role of a CHRO has never been this stimulating and inspiring. As a leader responsible for defining the people strategy and initiatives, I find myself thinking about our employees and how these macro issues are impacting them; how they are adapting to change; how they are managing the demands of work; and how they are finding time for self-care while fulfilling their obligations. I love listening and learning from our employees, as we work together to build a culture of inclusion, where our employees feel supported, heard, and have a sense of community. These days, I find myself leaning more on my colleagues, friends, peers and employees. We exchange ideas and engage in evocative conversations to design novel solutions with the goal of building a strong community that delivers exceptional performance to achieve the organization’s mission. Also, as an avid ally of early childhood educators and HR professionals, I sit on the board of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and NEHRA (Northeast HR Association) and lend my personal and business perspective to the leaders of these incredible organizations.
